COLOR LEVEL II
COLOR LEVEL II is an intermediate INTERACTIVE LIVE ONLINE (via Zoom) and IN-STUDIO course which meets 6 Tuesdays, 1 - 4pm, Studio4404, Sebastopol, California (Pacific) Time.
Dates are APR 7, 14, 21, 28, MAY 5, 12.
Taught by Suzanne Jacquot and Grant Taylor.
This is a fast paced, intense course for students who have a basic understanding and experience with the color wheel and the three properties of color——HUE, SATURATION AND VALUE. Please have experience doing the following: color mixing, painting and composing images with primary, monochromatic color, neutrals, complimentary colors, analogous colors and warm/cool colors. COLOR LEVEL II starts where COLOR BASICS LEVEL I leaves off. This is a wonderful course to repeat.
You will learn:
How to use color more effectively to capture the attention and hold the attention of the viewer.
Go deeper into the use of neutrals and color limitations to make bolder images
Use the potent language of emotions to communicate expressively
Learn the importance of value
Learn how to create focus and depth through color
Learn how other artists take color to great heights
Slide shows on topics discussed
Place to share artwork with fellow participants
Continue to build good habits of color exploration in the studio
Develop and paint with your own personal palette
One-on-one as well as group support
Recorded sessions for replay
Recorded sessions and participants work available for 6 months following course
