In this mixed media workshop, you will explore different ways to put various materials including collage into paintings. This class is about pushing your limits on the way to express yourself with mixed media. Two days will give us time to make your own collage papers and work on several pieces. All levels welcome. The class is limited to 5 students due to COVID.
Review gluing techniques.
Try new ways of putting mixed media materials together in a painting.
Demonstrations and exercises
Discussion and slide show of other mixed media artists
Support and critique
Time for own personal mixed media art
Sharing of the work and process
The goal is for the participants to experiment and get support with one-on-one help on their process.
Cost: $550, BOTH WORKSHOPS $950
Participant will bring their own supplies of substrate, collage materials, paper, canvas, paints, brushes, tools, drawing tools, large thumb tacks with long tip to pin painting to wall, paint clothes, rags, fixative, mat medium
Things supplied: water, buckets, misc. materials to incorporate, various collage papers and collage material, matt medium
Material fee of $25, paid at beginning of workshop via check or cash.

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Full refund minus $75 if requested 30 days prior to start of course. 1/2 refund minus $75 if requested more than 15 days prior to start of course. No refund if canceled within 15 days of start date of course. To request a refund, please email Suzanne at ljsjacquot@gmail.com.
All moneys forfeited go into a fund for Studio4404 maintenance and student scholarships.
Suzanne’s approach is exploratory with awareness. She is dedicated to addressing each artist in a very personal and highly supporting manner. Suzanne has been teaching abstract artists, from beginners to advanced, for over two decades.
