Abstract Art Workshops

Our In-Studio and Interactive Live-Online Abstract Art Workshops uniquely advance the participant in his/her own art making. Collaborative team teaching and small classes provide knowledge, demonstrations, and experiential learning with skilled professional artists. Our abstract art acrylic painting classes emphasize building confidence, trusting intuition, expressing fully and exploring the fundamentals of art. Exceptional one-on-one mentoring and supportive critiques. We support you!

DAY LONG ABSTRACT ART WORKSHOP
SATURDAY, JULY 15
10:30AM - 4PM

Marks are the basis of all abstract art. This day long workshop is a great way to get in touch with your authentic marks and let go of inhibitions and control. Learn techniques to push your marks to make them exciting and dynamic! Learn how to create paintings with your marks! This workshop will infuse new energy and life into your paintings with new fresh marks. You will try new mark making tools as well. Limited to 6 people. All Levels welcome.

Cost: $300, $20 materials and studio fee paid by cash or check at the workshop. $500 for 2 People. ENROLLMENT CLOSES JULY 5.

Students will be responsible for bringing their own supplies. See list below.

Cancellation Policy: Full refund less $75 if cancelled 30 days or more in advance, Half refund less $75 if cancelled more than 15 days in advance. No refund if cancelled less than 7 days before workshop. To obtain refund email Suzanne at suzjacquot@gmail.com. All cancellation funds will go for scholarships and studio improvements.

Students will be responsible for bringing the following supplies.

****Mixed media (Canson) workbook 9” x 12” or 11” x 14”
larger paper: 2 - 4 sheets Canson Edition, heavy weight mixed media paper 22” x 30”
Acrylic paints - black white, and colors you wish to use
Small plastic containers to store paints
Various sizes and styles of paint brushes of your choice
drawing tools: Lyra graphite 9B, water soluble and water non-soluble, ebony Prismacolor pencil, black pastel or charcoal, eraser
Fixative
Fluid mat medium, (glazing medium, airbrush medium—optional)
Chip brushes - 1” and 2”
Shapers and scrapers of your choice
Palette knife
Brayer
rags
ruler
glue stick
spray bottle


Misc. studio supplies: (provided for in-studio participants)
Water buckets, paint trays, scissors, various things to try specific to class needs, tracing paper, paper towels, some paper, etc.
