COLOR LEVEL I is a Beginning INTERACTIVE LIVE ONLINE Color course
6 Tuesdays, 1 - 4 pm, California (Pacific) Time via Zoom
FEB 11, 18, 25, MAR 3, 10, 17.
Taught by Suzanne Jacquot and Grant Taylor.
This is a fast paced, intense course for students who wish to gain a basic understanding and experience with the color wheel and the three properties of color——HUE, SATURATION AND VALUE. No experience necessary. This is the first course in a series of Four Color Level Courses 1, 11, 111, and IV. A great course to take as a refresher or to repeat.
You will learn:
What is color? Why explore it?
Explore the three properties of COLOR: HUE, SATURATION AND VALUE, and why they are so important
Build good habits of color exploration in the studio; creating color studies
Make your own color wheel from three primaries
Become familiar with the terms——primary, complementary, monochromatic, achromatic, tints, shades and tones, analogous, warm/cool, value, contrast, etc.
Mixing to create harmony
Learn and create with color schemes
Learn why less color can give more impact
Slide shows on topics discussed
Place to share and view participants work and slide shows
To develop and paint your own images based on limitations of color through exercises and assignments
One-on-one help and group support
Recorded sessions for replay
Replays, slide shows and participants work available for 6 months following course

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
